The Learning Pit
The Learning Pit
This term Gri11 has been learning about The Learning Pit.
Last week our class was making balloon powered cars. This is how the learning pit works.
So when we started making the balloon powered car, we were really excited to make the car.
But then we started to get angry because it didn't work so then we down into the bottom of the pit.
So then we started to get out of the pit because we tried new things and created something else.
Then we got out of the pit and finished the task.

My school holiday's
In the holiday's I did lots of fun stuff.
These are some of the things I did, going to the BMX track, Swimming pool, Shopping, the Movies and walks.
On the first day we went to the BMX track, it was really fun.
Then for the rest of the afternoon we were shooting some basketball hoops.
Then the next day we went to the swimming pool and it was lots of fun. When we went to the swimming pool there was an obstacle course. It was SO hard!
After the pool we went to the Coastlands mall to go shopping. When ever we go to Paraparaumu I always want to go the Charlie and Me shop and bought some things for me. I was very excited!

The Mind Lab Trip-Wellington
On Tuesday my classroom GRi11 went to The Mind Lab in Petone, Wellington. We left school at about 7:45am and got there at 10:00.
Me making my 3D design .
GRi11 had to fundraise some money to get to The Mind Lab. To get money we had to come up with a business to sell a product or a service. Our businesses are Bunting, Concrete Pots, Play doh, Candles,Bookshelves,Kitty Computers.
First my group did 3D printing which was really fun we got to make a name tag or a model. I decided to make name tag with my name on it.

Week 3 Free Writing π
The stinky gooey mud was lathered all over the boy. Jeffree was on a farm inFielding
The mud run looks so mushy and slimy. It was all watery and the green grass was sticking onto me like glue. Up ahead were my friends Max and Billy,” Wait up” I yelled no your too slow said Max and Billy. Ahead was a puddle of water that was like chocolate milk. My teachers Mr R and Miss G were up ahead so they threw a giant pile of mud onto my back, I was laughing so hard that I fell into a puddle of slimy gooey watery mud. The mud was squelching between my toes.
FInally the boy finished the mud run looking like a muddy monster.

Letter to Jamiee Leader (For sports academy)
Hi Jaimee,
It's Bella-Rose and Georgie here, we are in the sports academy at school and have to research a particular sport and make a training programme. Our chosen sport is the triathlon, because of your success in this sport we would be very happy if you could answer a few questions of ours. These questions are:
1- How do you build your endurance for running/ triathlons?
2- What drills do you do to build your endurance, fitness and speed?
3- What food and drinks do you have before a race?
Thanks for your time, we hope your help will be beneficial for us.

Cross Country acrostic poem
Cheering parents when you sprint past them.
Running so fast you are really tired.
Outside in the fresh air.
Seriously exhausted.
Smelly shoes.
Covered in mud mixed with poo looking yuck.
Over the hill up and down.
Under the vibrant green trees.
Nearly at the finish line.
Turning the corner the parents clap and scream.
Reading your results.
Yawning from running your heart out.

TTS (Traditional teaching style)
12/2/15 TTS
Dear Gabrielle,
I skipped into Gri11 with a big smile plastered on my face, only to find this was not an ordinary day this was a day of TORTURE! My mouth dropped open in shock. What was going on?
When I walked into the Room it was so silent you could hear the wind.
Ding, ding, ding went the bell with the deafening sound, Everyone rushed to the desks in silence,
Smack! went the long ruler on the table. Miss Gordon stomped into the Room with her old fashioned long kilt on, Mr Robertson following close behind.
Good Morning class yelled Mr Robertson, Good morning Mr Robertson and Miss Gordon said the children in a very quiet voices.
Next was the roll call, 1 by one the names were being called. It was so fun NOT!!!!
Then Shakespeare that was the most boring est thing ever we had to sing one of his poems. Now it was time for basic facts, Mr Robertson called out the all of these easy times tables like 0x1=0 3x10= 30 Mr Robertson was obeying us to say it louder!!!!!!! then It got even worse the door was in my way so I couldn't see, so Mr Robertson asked me what is 7x2 Bella-Rose I said um,I can't see “why” because the door is in my way!!!!!!. Ding, ding, ding went the morning tea bell i thought it might of been over now but it wasn’t we had to have organised play groups on the courts and we had to eat one thing out of our lunch boxes and bite when Mr Robertson said too. Then the bell for middle block rang, i thought to myself maybe it will be done now and it WAS!!!!!!!!!!!.
Finally the day of torture was over and we went back a normal day!!!!!!!

Green pastures camp!
How to win the inspections for your cabins on camp
Now you will have the best cabin on camp!
Step 1: Choose your cabin groups and choose what cabin you want to sleep in (if you get put in cabins you will have to make the most of the it)
Step 2: Grab all of your bags and unpack your sleeping bag, pillow and sheets to put over the mattress. Wrap the sheets around the the mattress so it doesn't rub on you when you are sleeping.
Step 3: clean all of the spider webs out of the ceilings and the shower (there is a possibility that other bugs might be living there).
Step 4: Make sure when all of your cabin buddies have had a shower you brush the ground because it is wet and slippery.
Now you will have the best cabin on camp!
